Something in your town is always broken — a streetlight dies, a main splits, a boiler gives up, and a warning beacon rises where it happened. You are the one person who answers: walk over, diagnose it, open it up, fix it, test it, get paid. Do that often enough and you stop being a person with a toolbox and start being a company — hire technicians who jog to their own callouts, watch the works yard grow a van, a workshop and a citywide dispatch mast, and keep living in the town you keep running, with its cafes, neighbours, koi pond and sky islands.
