Rosette Index
Rosette Index is an original portrait-first optical investigation AVG. Seven semantic witnesses are registered across each illustrated archive plate. Carry one visible brass halftone lens through a 13×17 mechanical register: its actual spring position drives seven different integer screen frequencies, causing evidence to enter or leave the current impression. Release only when the three witnesses named by the dossier are active and the other four are silent.
The Mourning Index
A self-contained illustrated genealogical deduction game. One brass probate crank drives three portrait rings at 1×, 2× and 3× ratios. Their five founders, seven witnesses and eight heirs therefore form 24 exact mechanical detents rather than three detached selection menus. Read the four testament clauses, turn the visible crank until all three selected portraits concur, let the mechanism settle, then physically pull the wax seal to submit the estate.
